Celebrating 3 years!

My husband and I just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary yesterday! ❤

It’s been a crazy three years together. I’ve been reflecting on all we experienced together, and picked out some pictures too!

First, our wedding day!

My husband is an only child, and I am the oldest of four! So, on our wedding day he not only got a wife, but also three younger siblings. They have really adopted him into the family ❤ my sweet sister calls him “brother”, something truly special for someone who grew up without siblings.

This is a picture of our first Christmas together. It was a happy Christmas ❤

A month before, however, we encountered our first challenge as a couple: I had a miscarriage.

The heartache was something I will always remember. It was awful. I think I cried for almost a full day (stopping only to sleep). My sweet husband sat with me, held me, cried with me. Everything. I’m crying now just thinking about that time.

We also prayed. And prayed. And prayed.

A month later, about a week after the picture above, I took a pregnancy test. It was positive. ❤

All I can say is: God is good!

This is our first born ❤ literally minutes after his birth. We cried together on this day too 😍

And here is our little girl, born just 15 months after her big brother. ❤

When she was born, we were living in a 1 bedroom apartment. That’s right, all four of us were sleeping in the same room at night. Not ideal, but we did it and it wasn’t horrible 🙂

We found a 2 bedroom apartment, through someone my dad knew, about 2 months after she was born. It’s old, but beautiful and large for my little kids to run and run around and around! It’s in our tiny budget, and 15 minutes is pretty much the farthest we have to drive anywhere! Such a blessing!

We are blessed. Really and truly, blessed. Life isn’t perfect, but God is, and he provides. He has again and again in our lives already!

Soli Deo Gloria!
